This summer Downeast Maine had some tourists in its water, but not just human tourists!

Cabot, The Male White Shark Measuring Over 9 Feet Long & Weighing Over 500ibs swam up from the Florida Keys this summer to visit the coast of Maine! Below is a map of just a few of his stops. 

Headed Home

Just as the summer tourists leave the great state of Maine so does Cabot! Thanks to the research and tracking of Ocearch we can follow Cabot on his journey back south. His latest check-in was in North Carolina where he swam into the Pamlico River!

In 103 Days Cabot has traveled 5,485 miles!

From The Florida Keys To Canada & Back!

Cabot was named with suggestions from Nova Scotians after the explorer John Cabot.
